Podcasts on Nova: DataCast, Yapay Zeka Sohbetleri and LiderCast

The three podcasts on Nova, what each one covers, who it is for, and how following, resuming and sharing work in the app, alongside music and radio.

Nova is first a music service, but it also carries podcasts, and three shows are available today: Yapay Zeka Sohbetleri, DataCast and LiderCast. They sit in the same app as the music and the radio, with their own section, follow buttons, resume positions and share links. This article describes each show, explains who it is for, and sets out how podcasts behave on Nova so that you can fit them into the way you already listen.

Yapay Zeka Sohbetleri

Yapay Zeka Sohbetleri, Turkish for Conversations on Artificial Intelligence, is the largest show on Nova with more than thirty episodes. It examines the effect of artificial intelligence on technology, art, music, software and daily life, in plain but careful language, and it treats AI as something that touches ordinary routines rather than as a purely technical subject. Recent episodes have looked at how AI redraws our photographs, at reversing biological age, at decoding whale song, at algorithms in sport and athlete health, and at catching whispers from space. The language is Turkish and the category is technology. If you have a commute or a walk and an interest in where this is all going, it is a good companion.

DataCast

Dataly Hollows – DataCast opens with a line that sums it up: every career has a story worth telling. The show talks to people who work in data and technology about their careers, their experience and the daily reality of the job. Early episodes decode three fields in turn, data analytics, data engineering and data science, each with a working practitioner as the guest, plus an introductory episode that explains the format. It is in Turkish, four episodes long so far, and especially useful to students and career changers who want to know what these jobs actually involve.

LiderCast

LiderCast is a short series of four numbered episodes on leadership. It is the most compact of the three shows and the easiest to listen through in an afternoon.

How podcasts work on Nova

Podcasts have their own section in the Nova app on the web, iPhone, iPad and Android. Each show has a page with its cover, description and episode list, and each episode has a page of its own with a player. On the website, every episode page has a 30-second preview, exactly like a song; full episodes play in the app with a free account.

  • Follow. Following a show adds it to your list and makes new episodes easy to find. The podcasts guide shows where the button is.
  • Resume. Nova remembers where you stopped in an episode, so a 40-minute conversation can be heard in three sittings. Positions follow your account between devices.
  • Skip and speed. The player jumps 15 seconds back and forward and offers faster playback for listeners who prefer it.
  • Share. Every show and episode has a share link. It opens in the app for people who have it and on the public page for people who do not.
  • One thing at a time. Starting an episode pauses music or radio, and starting a song stops the episode; your place in the episode is kept.

Podcasts and music, side by side

Keeping podcasts in the same app as the music has a practical benefit: the transitions are short. Many people listen to Yapay Zeka Sohbetleri on the way to work and switch to Lo-Fi FM or the Cozy Work playlist at their desk, all without leaving Nova. The sleep timer works with episodes as well, so a show can play you to sleep and stop.

Publishing a podcast on Nova

Any Nova account can create a show and upload episodes. You open a show, give it a title, description, language and category, add a cover, then upload episodes with their own artwork. Nova produces a streaming version of each upload, so a file recorded as WAV still plays smoothly on a phone. Episodes get public pages and share links, and listeners who follow the show are told when a new episode is ready. If you make a podcast and want it heard in six languages' worth of audience, the podcasts page is where it will appear.

Podcasts in a venue

Podcasts are spoken word, which makes them a poor fit for most background use; a café plays music, not a conversation about data engineering. Nova Business is built around music and radio for that reason. Where spoken content suits a space, a waiting room with headphones, say, it is a matter for the venue's own judgement.
