Nova Business: venues, synced playback and what every device at your venue does
How venues work on Nova Business: one venue per plan, extra venues on one subscription, devices in sync, 30-day statistics and rooms that need their own music.

Nova Business is the Business section inside the Nova app, and the unit it works in is the venue. A venue is a place where music plays to the public: a café, a shop, a hotel lobby, a gym floor. This guide explains how venues are counted, what it means that every device at a venue plays in sync, how the statistics work and how to handle a business with more than one room. For the first-time setup, read setting up Nova Business first.
One venue per plan
A Lodos Basic or Professional plan includes one venue. If you run a single café, that is all you need: name the venue in the Business section, play from any computer or tablet at the café connected to speakers, and the public performance licence for Nova music at that venue is included. The Basic plan costs $30 a month; in Türkiye the price is shown in lira from the daily Central Bank rate.
Adding venues
Each venue beyond the one in your plan costs the same as Basic, $30 a month, and is added to the same subscription rather than billed separately. When you add a venue beyond your allowance you confirm the payment. If you have a saved card it is charged automatically, prorated for the rest of the current month; if not, you enter a card and it is saved. From then on the plan and the extra venues are charged together each month. If you reduce the number of venues, the change applies from the next period, and you can cancel at any time with access until the end of the paid month. The pricing page sets this out.
What a venue is, and is not
A venue is one place with one stream of music. All the devices you sign in at that venue play the same music in sync: change the song on one and it changes on all of them, pause one and all pause. That is what you want for a shop floor with two speakers or a restaurant with a dining room and a bar that share a sound. It is also the limit: one venue cannot play different music in different places at the same time. A spa whose treatment rooms need their own quiet, or a hotel with a lobby and a separate restaurant, uses one venue per space that needs its own music.
Synced playback in practice
- Sign in to Nova on each device, open the Business section and choose the venue. The devices are then part of the same venue.
- Press play on one. Within a few seconds the others pick up the same track at the same position.
- Any device can change the music; the others follow. There is no master device and no hardware to buy; a browser on any computer or tablet is enough.
- If a device goes offline and comes back, it rejoins at the venue's current position.
Because the stream is shared, the practical advice is to run the venue from one device most of the time and use the others as players. Our guide to building a playlist for your business describes the daily routine of switching lists by hand, which is how venues handle mornings and evenings; Nova Business does not schedule music by time of day.
Business playlists and your own
The Business section offers playlists curated by Nova for venues, and you can play any public Nova playlist, any album, any radio station or a playlist you build yourself. Everything in the Nova catalogue is covered by the same licence. Lists marked for business are curated with volume and tempo in mind; they are a good place to start before you make your own.
Statistics
Each venue keeps listening statistics for the last 30 days: how much time music played at the venue, and which songs played most. For a single site this tells you whether the music is actually on during opening hours; for several venues it shows which site plays what. The statistics are visible in the Business section to the account that owns the subscription.
The licence
The subscription includes the public performance licence for Nova music at each subscribed venue, because Loopcode Bilişim Yazılım Mühendislik Eğitim ve Danışmanlık A.Ş. (Lodos Nova) is the sole rights holder for its catalogue; no collecting-society fee applies to Nova music. It does not cover music from other sources, broadcast, use in videos or adverts, or venues without a subscription, and personal free accounts must not be used in a business. A licence confirmation letter for a venue is available on request from info@loopcode.co. The licensing page and our article on background music licensing explain the wider picture.
